Cycling to the Edge of Space with La Vie en Velo
During the gorgeous month of June we had the pleasure of hosting the first ‘La Vie en Vélo’ trip to the Pyrenees.
La Vie en Vélo have a unique take on cycling breaks - Angus transports your bike down in his custom trailer while you fly down - which means that there are no worries about your trusty steed making it onto the plane, plus you save time pre and post flight as you do not have to dismantle or reassemble your bike. On day one after your flight and while you are having a sumptuous lunch Angus will line your bikes up ready for an afternoon cycling.
Trabail VC managed to bag TEN yes 10 cols over the course of a long weekend. Port des Balés, Col du Peyresourde, Col d’Azet, Superbagneres, Col du Portillon, Col d’Aspin, Col du Tourmalet, Hourquette d’Ancizan, Col du Menté and the Col des Ares, a whopping 8692m of ascent!
Between the 12 riders they managed over 100km of climbing, to put that into perspective, that’s to the edge of space! Chapeau chaps.
A bientot La Vie en Vélo we can’t wait to see you out here again soon.
